Best known for its acclaimed performances of Baroque music, especially Bach and Handel and with a burgeoning reputation for championing the music of contemporary British composers, Chester Bach Singers perform a broad spectrum of choral music from the fifteenth to twenty-first centuries.
The choir are keen to share their passion for high-quality musical performance with others and host workshops which attract singers from across the region. These popular events have provided the opportunity to work with renowned conductors such as Bob Chilcott, Jeffrey Skidmore, Ellie Slorach, Neil Ferris and Sonoro as well as our own Music Director and composer Martin Bussey.
The choir wants to encourage the musical development of young people and to give them the opportunity to sing with an established choir, developing aural skills, sight reading ability and performance technique. If you know of any young people who have an interest in choral music and can read music and would benefit from this opportunity, please get in touch with the chair of CBS at chair@chesterbachsingers.org.uk
